"This year's edition of Next Textile Borås has Rethink as its theme. New thinking, challenging old conventions and turning things to the better is also something our guest speakers really have succeeded to achieve. I'm enormously happy to present this year's line-up and the fact that we have managed to bring together such heavy names from the textiles industry. You don't get the opportunity to see people like Lutz Walter and Emmanuelle Butaud-Stubbs at a Swedish stage very often. You better grab a ticket while there still are any", says Susanne Edström from Smart Textiles, one of the main partners to the City of Borås. One conference - two blocksThe conferences Next Textile Borås is organized in collaboration with FutureDesignDays and divided in two blocks. FutureDesignDays Conference takes place 24 to 25 May. It is a seminar where interactivity and the following debate are important features. The first day is rounded of with a prize ceremony for Fiberrik a swedish award for textile innovations. The evening then continues with mingle and festivities. FutureDesignDays Breakout Sessions takes place 25 May, with more intimate meetings and more room for discussions and reflection. 'I believe we have found a balanced mix with both formats. Day one is probably best suited for listening and receiving information. By day two, you have digested all impressions and are ready to take part more actively and start to put questions to the people on stage. It might just as well be somebody in the audience who give useful business insights to the speakers', states Christian Alçenius of FutureDesignDays.
